best and worst commercials- Page 3

The best: I think it was a commercial for a video game system. Maybe PS2 or something? Seems longer than that. Anyway, it was a cheery commercial that began with a mother pouring bowls of cereal for her two young kids. She was about to pour orange juice for them, when the cartoon sun on the carton jumped off the carton and started dancing and being happy. Instead of going with it, like they do in the Mrs. Butterworth commercials or something, the family starts to scream bloody murder and the mom yells, "RUN, KIDS!" and they start running down the hall. The make it out the door, screaming, "OH MY GOD!" and the like, the entire time.

It was freakin' hysterical and I only saw it twice. Best commercial ever.

Worst is those commercials where people start screaming because of their cell phone bills.

What about the Nutrasystem commercial with Zora from Joe Millionaire? It's annoying overall, but one thing grates on my nerves. She says, "It works that good!" Ugh. Every time it comes on it makes me flinch.

Best - The commercial for condoms with the brat kid throwing a temper tantrum in the supermarket to the horror of his father.

Worst - Old Navy commercials with has been tv stars like Morgan Fairchild.

Best - I'm loving that IKEA commercial with the lady yelling "start the car!" I laugh every time. I also love the Dairy Farmers commercial, which may be only shown in Canada, with the men rapping about milk.

Worst - Any Old Navy commercial.

IKEA had some great ones a few years back. One was about a lamp, and they showed a person carrying the lamp to the curb with the trash while sad music played in the background. The lamp was supposed to be cute (which it WAS, for some reason!). Then the guy says something like, "You feel sorry for the little lamp? Why? It is ugly, and the new one is much better." I think it was raining on the poor, discarded lamp. There was another one about a cow creamer, too.

There's one commercial that I dislike greatly. It's for some giant furniture/appliance store. A woman tells her family she's going shopping to buy a new fridge, and asks if there's anything they want. Her husband says, "A new couch!" The son asks for a big TV or something, and the duaghter goes, "A new computer." The mother says, "Didn't you just get one?" Daughter: "Yeah, like, last year." I want to smack that child.
