Eww...Larry King did the grape juice commercials too. It grossed me out because I once worked for CNN and heard many tales of his flatulence (and how his guests would respond when they learned firsthand of that during interviews).

I didn't like those bank commericals (can't remember which one) which showed a little girl going in the bank with her father in the 1940's, then coming out of the bank in the future and the sky was BLACK and the buildings dark. That's what this bank thought was the future?

I noticed earlier this year that same commerical was running, but the sky had suddenly been changed to blue!

Worst- these pathetic commercials for a local used car lot where this old bald man tries to rap while his old wife with a nauseatingly high pitched voice"beatboxes" (and they're dead serious)

Best- the Nextel commercials with the two guys dancing like fools

I love Geiko commercials--especially the soap opera.

There's a fast food chain where I live named Spangles, and their commercials are God awful. Right now they've got a blonde girl trying to sing country and shill their barbeque steak burgers. The only problem is she's so flat, she's practically in a key of her own making. Horrible.

Worst by far- I don't know if it's just the Boston area or what but there are commercials for something called "Baby Safe Haven" where a very pregnant teenage girl says something along the lines of "I'm pregnant and no one knows." It's pretty obvious. Then a bunch of teens come out and rap... sooooooo stupid.

Best- Geico and I used to like those Hello Moto ones or something like that.

Best- Sprint commercials "I may not be soup from a store, but I am... a soap opera star"

Worst- cheap lawyer ads "if you or a loved one is suffering from Mesothelioma(sp?), a certain type of cancer that is cause by exposure to espestos blah blah....call [insert name] and [insert name], attornies at law...blah blah"

Best - I really love the one with Kate Winslet where she's walking through London or something talking about all of her movie roles.

Worst - Billy Fuccillo! He's a car salesman. I don't know if he's only around central New York, but he's so effing annoying! Ah!

And, the ditech.com commercials. They annoy me too.

Best - loved the singing ebay commercial, with the guy who's currently in Spamalot.

Also loved the one where William Shatner is trying on a pair of ladies red high heels.


Worst - O, O, O, the Big Big O, Overstock.com.

i love the coca cola bear commercials around christmas time.

those older campbells soup commercials with the kid outside making a snow angel.

and i loved the coca cola commercial with adrian brody where its got all the animated bubbles bouncing around him while he walks.

there was a really cool court tv commercial that was all lit up, it was awesome. like there was a lab and it showed the test tubes, and there was a bright white light. and then there was this car going through a tunnel and the whole tunnel was lit up with the white lights again. i thought that was great.

the doctor pepper commercial with leann rimes and reba macintyre (sp?). seriously. i loved those commericals.

WORST:

chia pet commericals. theyre just dumb (and about 10 years old)

im drawing a blank on other bad ones. ill edit them in later.

and aigoo, i really like the kate winslet commercial. i thought i recognized her voice, but i didnt know what was really going on up until "i nearly drowned at 20"

I kind of lose focus when commercials come on and zone out, but the best commercial was for some kind of car, I forget sorry, but anyways there was a car and then a shopping cart starts to roll towards it and the owner of the car dives into the cart to stop it from hitting the car, I LOVE that commercial.

Someone mentioned the toe fungus commercial. First time I ever heard that commercial I was like: "yer a what?!?!?!?!"... I thought it said it was a hermaphrodite, as it crawled under the cartoony toe nail! Seems he is a dermatophyte... and I am not alone in thinking I heard "hermaphrodite" come out of that creepy green toe fungus mouth. LoL

The ones that crack me up are the generic law commercials. They show some bad scene, like...

Insurance person 1: How is the case going?
Insurance person 2: Great, we are really going to stick it to the patient!
Insurance person 1: Who is the attourney involved?
Insurance person 2: The Law Office Of(Insert name of whatever firm)
Insurance person 1: Ohhhh, we better settle!

The thing is, they cut away from the actor's faces when they say the law office name so they can plug in whatever they need. Traveling, I used to see the same commercials all the time advertising different cheap ambulance chasers.

kinda off topic for this thread....but...I was watching "The Corporation" on IFC last week, and they were talking about Fanta soda. Apparently, Coca Cola invented Fanta to sell in Germany during the late 30's and through the war. The thing was, they didn't want to lose their profits, but also didn't want Americans to know they were selling their product to Nazis.

I actually love the raisin bran crunch commercials, as well as the rollerskating diet coke commercial!

I LOATHE the Trix commercials! "silly rabbit, Trix are for kids!" im like "just give him the damn cereal!" i would really like to see the day when he actually is really mean to the kids, gets his cereal, and is like "silly kids, don't mess with the RabbMaster!" haha! that would be so funny!

The burger king commercials freak me out. If some guy, from out of nowhere, dressed like a king with a big plastic head came up to me and handed me food, I wouldn't eat it! I'd run away and never come back!

ok..you have to agree with me on this one..

WORST..ABSOLUTE WORST...the new commercial where they cut a human brain open...EWW and the other one where they are scraping plaque off of a human aeorta and squeezing gunk out of it...just totally gross...

Best...i loved the Gap commercial with Sarah Jessica Parker..and i am sorry but i loved the KFC (or was it Pizza Hut?) commercial with Jessica and Ashley Simspson..

justagirl - I totally forgot about the Mentos commercials... I love those.

Anyways, I came up w/ some other bad ones. I never really liked those Ovaltine commercials ("More ovaltine please!"), and the Clap-on Clap-off the Clapper! commercials... oh, and the Sunny D commercials are bad too. Let's see, 2 others - don't like the Comcast highspeed internet ad they ran during the Christmas season... where the mom goes "oh, that's just what I wanted!". And I'm also not a fan of those Lexus sales event commericals where someone gets a car as a Christmas present. Who gets a car for Christmas? and with a ribbon on it?

Guess that's it. One other good one - I can't remember any one commerical in specific but I remember I used to really like the Voltswagan commercials (like Jetta or Passat or something). Haven't seen one in a while, but they used to be good.

andrew - not sure about KFC or Pizza Hut, but I know Jess and Ashley Simpson were in an Icebreakers commercial. were you thinking of that one?

Thank goodness the holidays are over. I couldn't take much more of that Korbel champagne commercial. It was just plain bad.

My other complaint: the breakfast sausage commercial made with "real Vermont syrup". That ad was run incessantly.

The best: I think it was a commercial for a video game system. Maybe PS2 or something? Seems longer than that. Anyway, it was a cheery commercial that began with a mother pouring bowls of cereal for her two young kids. She was about to pour orange juice for them, when the cartoon sun on the carton jumped off the carton and started dancing and being happy. Instead of going with it, like they do in the Mrs. Butterworth commercials or something, the family starts to scream bloody murder and the mom yells, "RUN, KIDS!" and they start running down the hall. The make it out the door, screaming, "OH MY GOD!" and the like, the entire time.

It was freakin' hysterical and I only saw it twice. Best commercial ever.

Worst is those commercials where people start screaming because of their cell phone bills.

What about the Nutrasystem commercial with Zora from Joe Millionaire? It's annoying overall, but one thing grates on my nerves. She says, "It works that good!" Ugh. Every time it comes on it makes me flinch.
