OK guys, this is how the "game" works...

post the best and worst commercial that you have ever seen/heard. Try to be specific if they are a rare occurance. If they are popular commercials, just say the name/what they are advertising.

worst - ANY McDonalds COMMERCIAL!!! (i dislike them with a passion)

Best Commericals: the original "Priceless" commercials for Mastercard. The early ones were great.

Worst: Those damn big ass bears that Charmin toilet paper uses. They show the bears wiping for crying out loud. It's disgusting and wrong!

most confusing: it begins with an i-pod and ends up being about a car (I think??)) still puzzled

some of the most entertaining are the NFL ones with the NE Pats dancing and singing

BEST: the old jetta commercial where you can't hear any sound at first, but you see the guy sitting in the driver's seat of the car doing the robot. then his friend opens the passenger door and styx's "Domo Arigato, Mr. Roboto" comes BLASTING out of the car -- AWESOME!!

WORST: anything that starts out normal and happy (ie: a woman sitting at the opera, or a man in a hot tub) and then tricks you with a voiceover that says: "where will you be when you diarrhea strikes?" i hate that!

BEST: the one where the guy is singing to his ringtone,
all the Geico commercials,
"the original 'Priceless' commercials for Mastercard. The early ones were great."

WOERST: any that have alarm clocks in them because they make me nervous

Best: The Tasters Choice coffee commercial that ran in the early 90's and played out like a romance novella from commercial to commercial.

Honorable Mention: The KMart dancing-in-his-boxers dude... the music, Jet Sounds, is now in my music library. LoL

Worst: oh my gawd my skin crawls at that anti-smoking campaign booger picking PSA. I saw it the other day... and just cringed. The kids at the school keep saying they are going out back to "take a pick". Flash forward to the end: kids sitting out on the back school steps picking their nose, fingers dug in deep. Ew...

Honorable mention: There was a toilet cleaning commercial from way back when. Anyhow, the toilet talked and unfortunately for me my toilet training toddler saw it and would not go near the toilet without spazzing out in fear. It took MONTHS to get past his toilet fear... thanks to that darn commercial.

Secondary Honorable Mention: that darn feminine spray commercial where a mother and daughter are eating lunch at a fancy shmancy place... and for some unknown reason they start talking about odors between each other's legs. They're not whispering about it... or being discreet. No, they're talking about it like "Hey mom, order the salad and oh yeah, I spray such-and-such on my smelly scooterville!" LoL

BEST:
Volkswagen - the entire campaign is good.
Staples - the one where they are singing "The Most Wonderful Time Of The Year..." and the Dad is all excited the kids are going back to school. Also the Alice Cooper spot.
Office Max - the Rubberband Man spot
Mastercard - the priceless campaign - it still has legs.
HP - I agree with photo printer ads. They're great.
Geico - the "Good News, Bad News" campaign is great.

WORST:
Burger King - The latest ones with the giant "king" character looking in people's windows. It's downright creepy.
Commercials for cleaning products - where they show bathroom tile and showers so dirty (before the super product came to save the day). I always think "who lets their bathroom get THAT dirty?" C'mon now!

The worst one -- is the shampoo commercial where the woman sounds like she is having an orgasim. SOOOOO tacky.

The best one I think is for Monster.com where the guy is working with a bunch of monkeys (need a new job??).

Worst: The sexual enhancement commercials and the Burger King one with the king character.

Honorable Mention: Pepto-Bismol where they do that tacky dance.

Best- Diet Coke one that they played at the movies, a guy is getting dressed dancing around is apartment.. i don't know the name of the song, i wish i did, it goes "i like the way you move", but it isn't the outkast song.. anywho

worst- the BK commercials with the king or the lebron james nike ones that don't make any sense at ALL

Best: All the Geico commercials, but specifically Tiny House. I know people who were fooled by that multiple times.
Also, The rasin bran crunch commercials with the boss who tries to fire the guy but he can't hear because he's eating rasin bran crunch. And then there's a whole series of them. I love these commercials

Worst: The new theraflu commercials with the guys who look like ogres then change back to normal. And I second(third?) the king commercials. Creeptastic.

Worst:
A tie between the toenail fungus creature, the animated mucus couple who move into someone's lungs and the Febreze ones where people sniff carpets, upholstry and dad's underwear. All are disturbing.

Best:
Any local furniture store commercial. Ed Wood would have loved them. Especially the one in New Jersey where the guy wears a paper bag with a mustache painted on it over his head. But I miss Mattress Mack and the chainsaw dude from Houston.

So bad that theyre funny- the patent commercials!!!

"Everyone laughed at my pot that cooked and drained pasta...if i'd gotten a patent...ID BE RICH!!!"

or...

"snap ya fingas turn on a light. that was my idea." (the guy with the heavy NY accent)

I love those commericals. Theyre SO bad.

Best commercial- The Folgers coffee commerical with the Firemen singing.

My best choices are the same ones that have been named over and over.

There was one for Sunshine Mustard when I was little that I loved. There was a cute little blonde boy making a mustard sandwich (yuck) singing, "You are my Sunshine." He has a lisp and was precious.

Worst:
Every Old Navy commercial that has ever been made. (especially the Cheno ones.)

As a former bartender most of the liquor commericals piss me off. The Bailey's commercials are ridiculous. I mean, it's 17% alcohol by volume. No one drinks Baileys straight. Maybe as an after dinner drink, but not while out partying. Usually they are mixing it in White Russians or shooters.

And the Amaretto di Saronno commercial where people are drinking Amaretto martinis and Amaretto di Saronno on the rocks... It's like drinking almond flavored syrup. Amaretto is okay mixed with something, but straight? ooooooooh, it's so sexy. vomit

JerseyGirl, I agree w/ you - I can't stand the new Old Navy commercials.

best: definetely the Geico commercials. And my personal favorite - the Capital One commecials w/ the Vikings.

worse: Old Navy, the Burger King commercials creep me out too. Another commercial I can't stand is a local advertisement for Earth Treasures.

best radio advertisment - Bud Lit "Real Men of Genius" commercials. I actually turn the radio up when those come on.

Anyone else get a litte creeped out, ala Children of the Corn, by the little blonde girl who was in the Welch's grape juice commerical?

She seemed like a full sized adult person just miniaturize! I was like WTF - is that what drinking grape juice does to you, I will stick with wine!

Best: I love the new AMEX ads "My Life My Card" especially the one w/ Kate Winslet.

Worst: the Fanta girls or ANY bad local NYC ad such as 800-588-2300 EMPIRE as well as 1-800-MATTRES

I love the Coca-Cola commercials with the polar bears.

I hate the Buger King commericals.
