Posted: 8/8/05 at 8:46amI love this movie. Jake Gyllenhaal and Mary McDonnell are phenomenal in it. What's interesting about the screenplay is that, while the film doesn't completely explain itself, there are more than enough pieces to put together your own interpretation.

Posted: 8/8/05 at 5:16pmi do believe i would consider myself in the "huge fan" collumn. i ove hitting the DD message boards and hearing everyones theories... hours of enjoyment. i've heard people write it off as art-school pretentious, but i think that's really an unfair claim. maybe that's just what people say when there's an open-ended ending, and can't decide for themselves what it was all about. in any event, it was a beautiful film.

Posted: 8/8/05 at 5:51pmI just love the fact that it is open for interpretation. You can take it in anyway. There is not solid answer to why things happen in this film. It is kind of like life...ah i love it!
