Posted: 10/5/06 at 12:45pmI live in Denver. Yes, this time of year we see bears in places they shouldn't be, storing up food for the winter. Because we have displaced so much of the wildlife with housing expansion, etc. The animals are forced into neighborhoods in the foothills to find food. I suppose they are even seen more in mountain towns higher up looking for food also. They always ask that these towns do not leave trash out in bags and try to use cans that lock. We have even had bears that have entered homes.

We also get mountain lions in peoples' yards also! I saw a deer here in Denvr a few years ago.
