oh please. when I was 12/13 years old, I knew a few girls who were having oral sex and intercourse. This is nothing new!
"I'm glad you posted this because people need to be more aware."
To be fair, I think papa's being more wistful than concerned here.
well, yah, tiff.
and spider, the point of the article is that it's not just "a few" by that it's a whole lot. man, junior high would have been different. sure there was always that one girl who everybody knew was doing it, but man, if all of her friends were doing it too? what a wonderful world this would be..la la la la la lalala.

This isn't all that new. It was going on when I was in junior high in the mid-90s. There used to be competitions as to who could blow the most guys (similar to the bracelet game that exists now).
At my boyfriend's (at the time) school, the cheerleaders ended up having to ride on a seperate bus to away games because they were giving the hockey team head in the back of the bus. And it wasn't just boyfriend/girlfriend exchanges, it was a rotating thing. That went on for several YEARS before they were caught and the seperate bus policy put in place.
nope, I was born too late. I should have been born during the time of the Sun King, Louis IV, as brother to the King
call me Monsieur!
This isn't news. Blowjobs have been on the rise for YEARS.
I'm proper however. I would NEVAH.

As Mama Rose says, "I was born too soon and started too late!" I didn't know about such things when I was a teen but then again, I was educated by the Nuns.
Why is there NEVER reciprocation for the ladies?? Why do they do this without getting anything in return? As Samantha once said, "Honey, they don't call it a 'job' for nothin'."

A wise woman once sang, "In every job that must be done, there is an element of fun. You find the fun and snap, the job's a game. And every task you undertake, becomes a piece of cake. A lark. A spree. It's very clear to see...."

To tie in the off-topic Idina thread, this is what papa meant by fellatiatory.

"Mary Poppins and oral sex?"
Mary was a very sexual person. Take a look at "Jolly Holiday" in the film. Notice when Bert's umbrella hooks up with Mary's and then the umbrella pops open. I'm sure that is code for sex.
It was a Jolly Holiday, indeed!
yep, that green chick was way, dare i say it, popular in junior high.

I'm not surprised. Kids do everything these days. Sometimes peer pressure plays a role through it too and other times its just for the hell of it. I could name a few people I know of who have done it at that age.

It's more than just blow jobs. Two girls I know nearly got pregnant this past year. They're both 14. Creepy.

Both of my nieces were pregnant before they turned 15(one is now in her late 20's, the other one is just past 30) - between them they have six kids (3 each) and there are to my knowledge at least 4 different fathers. Certainly not the Brady Bunch or the Cleaver family.
Oh, PLEASE.
Oral sex has been around for 20 or 30 years now.
Ha!
Yes, definitely nothing new. Scary, but nothing new. I feel very old right now. I want to put on a shawl and thick glasses and slap some of these kids around.
Then you'd be just like me.
I'm not a kid, Twelvy.

I was born too late, I feel like I belong in middle class Victorian England serving as an art tutor...
I've seen Judy Garland, Michele Lee, Julie Andrews, Yul Brenner, Robert Preston, Chita Rivera, Ethel Merman, Angela Lansbury, Robert Morse, Jerry Orbach, Gwen Verdon among others, live, on stage, in their prime. I went to just about every major road-show big-screen engagement in motion picture history, and watched countless musical variety shows and television specials. I think I was born at just the right time.
