evil Ebay!!

I can't stop buying stuff off Ebay. It sucks because I do buy things that I really want, most of which I'll never see again if I don't buy them now. But still...

And I haven't recieved two of my items that I ordered two weeks ago. evil Ebay!!

Anyone else addicted to ebay?

I've been forced to keep my distance, it's better for my bank account... but I know my mom is addicted.

I'm addicted. It's really bad. You can find everything there, though!

My best friend and I spent hours on Saturday looking for DVDs of Are You Afraid of the Dark?

anyone ever search for Human Soul? I do it for kicks about once a week...it seems the going rate for a human soul is between 15- 26 dollars.
i also saw a guy sell a voddo ritual to be performed by his nija cat...(he'd send you pictures so you knew it was true...)

I'm beyond addicted - I have a sick playbill collection thanks to eBay. But I love it!

I store everything in my brother's room, and he asked WTF all these were. I said "I'm trying to collect old playbills, ya know, a couple decades". He responded "Well, yes, but for the century as well"

re: evil Ebay!!

I bid on a Broadway League softball jersey owned by Linda Eder. She signed the inside of the collar. It was an innocent bid (oh, don't they all start out that way?) of $35.00. It stayed that way for days - right up until the last 24 hours when there was a flurry of activity. eBay kept telling me that I had been outbid, which really got to me. I tried to let the jersey go, but competition got the best of me. The last hour of bidding was really fast and nasty, BUT I WON, SUCKERS!!! Hanging in my closert is a tres, tres expensive softball shirt. I never wear it or show it; I could have gotten a great outfit for myself for that money. Sigh. eBay was not truly to blame - my own lack of restraint and wisdom got the best of me. Not going back.....unless........

re: evil Ebay!!

Thats what happened to me and the two Palace theater Les Miz posters. Started at $15, for each then everyone else realized they were there. Where are they? My house. :) But I am $80 poorer.

Good lord!

The trick is to only start bidding when there's, say, 5 minutes left on the auction so no one else has time to bid above you!

They are great, and unique, posters though.

re: evil Ebay!!

Yeah Tiff, I try to never bid until the last minute. Otherwise, you just end up getting into a bidding war w/ other people and drive the price up. And I must say, sometimes it's just as satisfying getting that last loosing bid in there and driving the price up, even if you end up loosing the auction!

I usually end up just getting cheap stuff, like CDs/DVDs, but it can definitely be addicting (especially when you know the PayPal password to your parents account re: evil Ebay!! )

I hate/love it. I never realize how much i'm actually bidding until it's too late. I got the complete Charlie Chaplin collection...for 60$ Don't tell me how much it's really worth. I'll probably cry.

re: evil Ebay!!

eBay is a glorious thing...I actually managed to find a replacement sweater from Old Navy that I had in a suitcase that was stolen in November (right size/color and everything...hmmm...No, I'm sure it wasn't the same one, but still) It absolutely made my day to get it back (it was a favorite). Plus, it's in great shape and only cost $3+s/h!!! Yep, I was a happy girl indeed that day! Je t'aime eBay!!!

re: evil Ebay!!

For the first semester of school, I was hooked on eBay. I was buying books and DVDs for such disgustingly low pirces. By the time I was done, however, I had spent almost $400. Needless to say, I haven't bought a damn thing in months.

It's only a matter of time...

I keep claiming that I'll post my stuff on ebay, but I never do. I feel like it's a hassle. Anyone have an encouragement?

re: evil Ebay!!

I've never sold anything on eBay. Is it a big procedure to register for that? I've thought about it a few times, but never really got around to checking out the details and actually doing it.
