favorite baby names

hi everyone, what's your favorite name(s) for a boy or a girl? My former conductor is naming her baby Elliana Joelle. Isn't that such a cute name? I can think of nick name for that:) Anyway, I like fancy uncommon names better than really popular names. So post!

re: favorite baby names

my cousins have the weirdest names! Dameon, Riley, and Trinity. Creative is good, but only up to a certain point. Now here's where I'm going to be a hypocrite...I like the name Tobi Jane for a girl.I didn't make it up, by the way. I don't think I would name my kid that, but it's still cool. (everyone I know hates that name)

You wanna talk about weird names, I have a cousin named Matasia! Worse, her full name is Matasia Jene Dimetria. And her little sister is named Serratia and their brothers name is Skylar. Oddly enough, the other two girls in that family have normal names: Anastasia and Marisa. Yes, my anut and uncle are odd and need t ostop having so many friggin kids.

Call me strange, but for as long as I can remember, my favortie girl name ever has been Wendy. Yes, i'm obsessed with Peter Pan =)

lol, I like the name Skylar. My friend told me this story. Awhile ago, a new family moved in on her street. The kid's names were Hope, Faith, Charity, Joy, Earnest...and Danielle! lol guess they ran out of ideas.

Love "Emilia", one of Shakespeare's few good, strong women. I always found something about the name "Rhiana" gorgeous.

I like creativity in a name, but sometimes a name is just gonna scar the poor kid. One girl I know is named Faith Amen Amen. (yes, 2 amens). Another was named Princess Jasmine. Somebody was a little too into their Disney movies with that one...

I'm just glad nobody's picked apart my names yet. I'm shocked.

re: favorite baby names

Elphaba is a little.. umm.. weird. I could live with Galinda or Glinda.. Fiyero is Italian for Proud and im Italian so that might be weird for my family to call my son Proud but i really like the following.

Nicole
Chiara (italian for Claire, pronounced Kiara)
Kathryn

Perhaps I am terribly old fashioned, but I like old fashioned names from the bible. Sarah, Rebecca, Esther, Hannah, and for a boy.......Jacob, Daniel, Abraham.
