I love Barrymore's on West 45th

Its not fine dining, but I love the atmosphere. I take all my guests there just for a real theater hang-out place...

If you get to the Village for a real great neighborhood bar dont miss The White Horse

Have a great time

Look I picked bars

I went to COSI's last time I was in the city, and I really enjoyed it. I got some Chicken Parmeasan Sandwhich or something, which came it a nice salad as well.

It was freezing that night, so I also ordered a cup of hot caramel apple cider. I swear, they brought out a cup that was the size of a soup bowl filled with the best tasting caramel apple cider. I alsost died. I recommend that.

Also, John's Pizza near Shubert Alley is nice.

Hm, where else have I been? Once I ate at Virgil's in Times Square, and that was the biggest meal I've ever eaten. It's good old fashioned BBQ and lots and lots of food.

Snap, I can't remember the name of my fav restaurant. It's in the Union Square area, though...hmm..

Anyway, just go somewhere. When you're like me (and always starving), I just blindly walk into restaurants, forget the name and type, and just order. Doing that works too.

(**p.s. don't go to the OG in times square re: re: re: favorite theatre district restaurant )

I love John's Pizza on 44th. I'm also a big fan of Pigalle on the corner of 48th and 8th. Also, if you're into Mexican, try Cancun. It's a little out of the way (9th and 53rd, if I remember correctly) but the food is PHENOMENAL. I also recommend Barrymore's -- Love the chicken strips there. But if you drink, don't order a Tequila Sunrise... That's the only place I've ever had a bad one lol

Well that is tough so many great places to chose from:
Blue Fin- Exceptional seafood
Ruby Foo's- Asian for everyone
Firebird- Elegant and great drinks (Honey Vodka and Bellini's are incredible and the place is so romantic)
Yodo of Japan- The cheapest and best Happy Hour in NYC (that is if you love spicy tuna rolls)(47TH between 5th and madison)

Ok now i miss writing scripts but some other good places:
Pigalle
Pigalle has great food but the service stinks. But the salmon is superb. City Lobster is pretty good but i prefer City Crab in Union Square.
The shrimps are the best in the City and are as large as my hands. They also have great dumplings.
Best bad heart attack snack food-(One that i miss so many calories but i love them the Buffalo Chicken Springrolls at Heartland Brewery. Talk about an orgasm on a plate also a coronary on a plate. Sorry Jon Bloostein!

Im trying to figure out where I want to eat on my birthday, this friday. Ill be with some college students so it cant be too expensive but I want it to be a little nicer than that 24 hour diner The Renaissance I usually go to a block away from Hairspray. I know theres a Steakhouse on the block that Hairspray is on but its very expensive- kind of place where you have to order your sides seperate from the entree. Theres a mexican place on the corner of 8th, and a place called Divanne over there too but ive never been to it. Theres a thai place called Chan Penn on 9th too but I dont know that everyone im inviting with like thai. Any other suggestions up that way? Im seeing Hairspray so I dont want to be too far.

Westside Sushi is very cheap and the sushi is pretty good.
It is the best sushi in the area and it is a few blocks from Hairspray.
Not a place if you don't eat sushi they have no other food.
But it is good and cheap.
The Vnyl Diner is a nicer diner and it is a few blocks from Hairspray they have great salads and comfort food but it is better then a typical diner and it is funky.
