I don't know if this is an alto/sop song, but I love "I still believe" from miss siegon

depending on the flexibility (tone-wise) of the high soprano's voice, you could do "in his eyes" from J&H -- it's pretty popular.
if you have the option of adding a third girl, you could do an ALW trio that has "love changes everything" (high sop.), "i don't know how to love him" (mezzo), and "unexpected song" (mezzo/sop with good low notes)
does it have to be musical theatre? if you're interested in doing a little opera (don't get freaked out by it...) there's the flower duet from Lakme that is gorgeous.
i'll think a little more on this....
there must be something from wicked. possibly "for good" ? if not try, "a boy like that/i have a love" from west side story
check them out :o)

please don't do a duet from wicked.
i've seen the show, and i enjoyed it. but considering the amount of suggestions you hve gotten on this thread alone, i BEG you to broaden your MT repertoire and branch out. it's a fun show, but broadway doesn't end with wicked.
AND, if it's a song from a show you haven't heard of or learned anything about, it's an opportunity to get to know a new show that may become one of your favorites.
ahh thank you so much-- keep them coming!
ps-
nothing from wicked or rent please.
pps-
i would love to do "some things are meant to be" from little women and "who will love me as i am" from side show but these 2 girls have gone on to the international thespian conference with those songs for the part 2 years, and everyone's heard them a million times haha..
and also, this is a bit dumb, is the movie version and show version of "a boy like that, i have a love" from west side story different? because i was looking into doing that, but anita & maria don't sing together until the very end, so it was if-y..
anyway, thanks again and like i said KEEP THE SUGGESTIONS COMING!! <3
"in his eyes" from jekyll and hyde! that is an amazing song! you should definately look into that song!
ok sorry for the Wicked suggestions I was having a brain fart, I forgot how anti wicked most people are, which is fine, I understand. Im not an uber wicked fan, those are just what came to mind. Sorry
"He's the Wiz" from the wiz is supposed to be a solo, but there are alot of fun background vocals to that song one of you could sing back up

Hi there,
I would also suggest
"I've been here before," from CLOSER THAN EVER,
its got a great Sop/Alto part.
There is the famous "A Boy Like That/I have a love"
from WEST SIDE STORY.
"How the Other Half Lives" from MILLIE.
"Funny" from MY FAVORITE YEAR which is a little more like a scene
"Every Day A Little Death," from A LITTLE NIGHT MUSIC
I think there is also a song from FLOYD COLLINS
Good Luck! Hope this helps, let us know what you decide to pick!
I was just thinking of "How the Other Half Lives".

there's also "i known him so well" from chess, but it really doesn't go that high.

Absolutely YES to "I've been here before," and "Everyday a Little Death." These are fantastic songs. The song from Floyd Collins is called "Lucky" and it's also a favorite of mine.
