Then maybe it's just the specific guys and girls that I have had to buy presents for in the past...
My boyfriend never tells anyone what he wants. He won't even hint. He says that if he asks for something and gets it, he feels spoiled. Then he starts feeling guilty, and then he can't enjoy the gift. It's frustrating.
Oh, and to answer the age question that many have brought up... I am 20, and my boyfriend is turning 22.
~ff~ The secret with boys is to pay attention. I bet you anything that even though he hasn't asked for anything, he's mentioned something he's wanted since he was a kid, a favorite toy he lost, something along those lines. Or something he wants now... he might not ask, or even knowingly drop hints, but I'm sure the hints are there.
And if he hasn't... then... sorry. You're on your own.

Girl, just enjoy the relationship and don't ruin by stressing about it too much. God knows I've ruined things by doing that before.
As for the present, just think of what his interests are. Is he an avid saseballer/swimmer/tennis player/model collecter/belly button lint collecter? Pick an interest, and find out if he needs anything for it, maybe a new b-ball or baseball bat or something like that. Otherwise, something nice, but useless, that fits into that theme,, is always possible...
But after 5 months, I'm sure you can figure out what he likes, know his interests etc. Otherwise buy him a toolbox or a set of spanners or something like that...Wouldn't he love that?!?!?!?! I know I would!!!!
