My bad that's what i get for trying to do tha at work from my phone...
What i was going to ask was is this a good idea or not? I'm sure it will be good but i'm worried it will be too sanitized. And Uncle Jesse as a sweet transvestite from transexual transylvania? I just dont know... but they haven't disappointed me yet.
I've been a fan for 30 years and as much as i don't like what glee did to the songs and switching genders, I will probably peek in on the show. glee was fun the first season but lately I am not as into it. That church scene with the choir just annoyed me.
Me either, but I checked out the clip of that song. I wonder if all the melodies were rewritten to just be a couple of notes that just get run uppppppp and downnnnnnn.
Here is what I don't understand, last week I caught the scene with the two girls on the bed necking. They can show that but have to change the lyrics to songs in Rocky Horror?
"Impossible is just a big word thrown around by small men who find it easier to live in the world they've been given than to explore the power they have to change it. Impossible is not a fact. It's an opinion. Impossible is not a declaration. It's a dare. Impossible is potential. Impossible is temporary. Impossible is nothing.”
~ Muhammad Ali
Im probably more of a die hard Rocky fanatic than most on this board. I also watch Glee although I'm hardly a "Gleek" or fanatical over it. That said, I'm still pretty pleased they're doing an episode devoted to Rocky (edited or not).
RHPS is, in a way, a living and breathing thing that needs new blood in order to survive. Having the biggest show on tv that's aimed at the very people that will keep Rocky alive for years to come can only be a good thing in the end. It will create renewed interest in some and will make a whole lot of others seek it out and fall in love with it for the first time.
Why did they change any of the lyrics, if they're willing to do scenes like like a v***** (don't know if that's allowed :s) and teenagers getting pregnant, why are they bothered about saying transsexual
