seriously. where'd that feature go? i've never blocked anyone in my time here on bww, but i really would like to at this point. the poster adds absolutely nothing of any worth ever to any discussion. i understand what he's going for, but it's just not of any value whatsoever. if you're thinking it's you, it's probably not.

can i get a mod to help me through the process? pretty please with sugar on top?

Can you really block someone from posting on a thread you start? I didn't know you could do that. Share if you get the info.

It's me, isn't it? I bet it is.

"if you're thinking it's you, it's probably not."

Whew, I was worried.

Did the block feature EVER work?
Did you try sending an e-mail to a mod?

PEACE.

you can't block them from posting, but if i understand the feature correctly, it blocks you from seeing their posts. you would see that they posted on the front page where it shows who started the thread and who was the most recent poster, but not in the thread itself.

Also, if you decide to post on that thread, once you click on "reply" you will see all posts made, whether you blocked them or not.

yes, that's correct, papa. They once again disappear when you're finished posting.

The chance you take is if the poster you've blocked was the last one to post, so that when you're about to type your post-voila! there's the blocked one staring you right in the eye!

I'm sure a lot of others feel the same way about your postings, papa, but they don't go around blocking you.

Block Papa? You might as well block rainbows or puppies, or cupcakes. Papa's posts are the raisins in the soggy oatmeal that is BWW.

Don't bother blocking me, papa. I do not intend to read any of your posts or even acknowledge your existence in the future, since everything you say is beneath contempt.

It works.

It seems that you need to log out and log back in after choosing to ignore/block a poster's posts.

I've had someone blocked for over a year now and all I get are occasional posts were someone will say "I agree, blocked person!" and it reminds me of their existence.

Then I just block anyone who agrees with blocked person because if they agree with blocked person they must be obnoxious and whiny like blocked person so I don't miss anything there either.

roro's freakin' addicted to me, but it's not him. especially since this about the 5th time he's proclaimed that he's ignoring me only to continue following me around like a puppy begging for scraps.
