we actually had a really nasty nurse last night, and i'm thrilled to death that she's off tonight.
we actually put in a complaint about her. she was practically yelling at my mom!
tonight's nurse is alot nicer.

no roscoe today though. he wont be back untill tuesday, when i'll hopefully be home with my own doggies!

My sis has a Maltese. Hers is not very bright. But she is pretty so she gets away with it.

Get better soon, Abba! I can't stand nasty nurses! Good thing you put a complaint in about her because you clearly aren't thrilled to be there and I'm sure she didn't help at all! Stay positive and look forward to getting back home to your dogs!

*hopefully* i will be going home tomarrow afternoon.

they tried to discharge me this morning and we would not let them (because you know, someone with a fever is always healthy enough to leave)

i'm getting my last dose of IV antibiotics as i type this... plus some lovely morphine (so if i stop making sence in a little while, that's why!)

i get blood cultures and urine cultures tomarrow, and a chest x-ray, and if all that's clear, i'm heading home!

the lei is from my friend rachel... she said it was so that i could "lei around" :)
and the white teddy bear is from my dad... i named it morganella since that's the type of bacteria i had in my kidneys. that's not weird or unhealthy, right?

and i actually have another picture from today but i wont post it since someone else is in it with me... an old childhood friend who has been going through similar issues to mine just happened to be admitted at the same time i was a floor above me. my mom thought it was hysterical and took a picture of us with our IV poles.

i had a reiki (rieki? maybe?) treatment today... it's like "healing touch"... it was really relaxing and actually helped my back pain alot.

we're waiting for the doctor to come in to see if i can go home. i did all the tests, just haven't gotten the results yet.

nope! they TRIED to discharge me the first day i was there and we said NO WAY.

all my cultures and my chest x-ray and cat scan (which i forgot to mention before) were all clear this morning and i feel alot better.

this infection started in december... i had some minor surgery and they used a catheter that was improperly sterilized.
so since then we've been doing these wussy antibiotics untill finally they admitted me to kill it once and for all.

i still have to follow up with a urologist so i'm keeping my fingers crossed.

They gave you this information? That's hard to believe. Some people would sue over that.

we we pretty much figured it out on our own... the infection started the day after the 3rd cath was put in (i had 3 in total)
