My top button on my iPhone 5 is starting to act up requiring me to push down numerous times for it to go off. Is this something the Apple Store can fix or do I have to get a whole new phone?

I would take it to the apple store and have them check it out. You can judge then if you should replace it. Since you have the iPhone 5 it should still be under warranty, no?

Lol! I spent about a year without the power button on my iPhone. It was an interesting experiment.

Yeah SNAFU I got it right before Thanksgiving, no needless to say I'm annoyed that it's messed up. I just know if you take it to your provider they have to send it to Apple and it takes a week so I was debating taking the hour drive to the Apple store.

Try a hard reset before you head to the apple store.

A friend of mine is having the exact same problem with hers. She told that she's read in tech forums that a lot of people are experiencing an issue with the power button on their iPhone 5s as well.

Yes. But just back it up tp your computer first ( using iTunes) and then do the hard reset and then sync it again to your computer. You should be backing stuff up to your computer anyway. A hard reset will be the first thing they will tell you uo do at the Apple Store.

I actually had that happen to my iPhone 4. I had to wait until it put itself to sleep which ate up battery time. I was well over my waranty and just bougt the 5.The problem I am having with the 5 is the damn No Sim notification!

UCJ.. Just go to the apple store. They will help you. Go. The genius bar is free. take your receipt of purchase with you as well. However.. they will type in your phone serial number and all the history will pop up. Just go.

I agree with Dame. An hour's drive can possibly save you the cost of a new phone.
