iTunes help needed - HELP!

iTunes help needed - HELP!

So.....after a year of no problems whatsoever with iTunes I suddenly find that I get the following message when burning a playlist to disc:

"The Disc burner is in use by an application other than iTunes".

What?!?! Can someone please help me out here? Did I accidently change something in my preferences and not know it?

a bit more info would be nice... are you using a Mac or pc?? I would search this in iPod/iTunes support discussions on apple.com. If you post a question there, give as much info as possible, describe as much as possible on everything you do/done to burn cd's. cheers

Also have you tried restarting your computer or using a different CD? And double check to make sure the CD doesn't have any other info on it.

Try quitting all open applications (including iTunes) and then try it again. This has happened to me, but it has happened w/ my iPod, not my burner. Sometimes computers get confused.... You can try restarting, too.
