My parents wanted to name me Tamar, but found that there were about 21 Tamars in our neighborhood alone. So they changed their minds. :)

Posted: 12/5/04 at 9:41pmI think Tal means dew in Hebrew. My parents named me Marianne. It certainly doesn't sound like a Jewish name. But my name in Hebrew is Miriam, which is a beautiful name. If I had a daughter I would have named her Sarah or Esther.
