in an alcohol rut...

so you know how the after-show activity is to go hang out and decompress at a bar, well last weekend we were there and my friends pointed out that i am in an alcohol rut.

i rotate between three drinks and only those 3 drinks:
* rolling rock beer, in the bottle
* swirl margarita, raspberry & lime or strawberry & lime
* cherry vodka sour with extra cherries

HELP ME! my friends were of no assistance, but what are some other drinks i could branch out with and broaden my repertoire?

i dont like really strong drinks, it's gotta be mixed with something but not too fruity or sugary you know.

suggest away you theatre barflys.
Don't f*ck with me fellas. This ain't my first time at the rodeo.

Oh I love swirl margaritas!

Have you tried a Bellini before? Apparently originated at Harry's Bar in Venice. If you like margaritas, you'd like those.

Perhaps you may wish to consider:

Amaretto sour
Raspberry vodka/tonic
Screwdrivers
Gin and tonic

And if you prefer a white chocolate martini, John's Pizzaria makes a great one. Go in after 10:30 (PM that is)they get even better!

re: in an alcohol rut...

Nope, but I was actually was introduced to this drink by a senior male attorney I worked with a few years back.

I hate losing the weekend to trying to finish documents related a deal that I have no control over.

It is going to be an exercise in frustration, I already know it!

I prefer MD 20/20...sorry, can't even kid about that.

Try a pomagranate martini. Potent....and good for you.

re: in an alcohol rut...

Y - I have Pomm in the house only because of Addy - the effect of BWW!

We make margs with it!

re: in an alcohol rut...

And I have some good tequila, and a blender, and some ice - Saturday night is shaping up already!

Gonna watch some terribly films and go crazy!

re: in an alcohol rut...

Y - they are tasty. I think I did one part each - teq, POMM and trible sec or grand marnier. (You are a fancy lawyer so I am sure that Patron will do well!)
#23

re: in an alcohol rut...

Me no have Patron, but some other pretty decent Tequila. I usually by the stuff for sipping, because it is my belief - if you are going to drink the hard stuff, why waste the calories on mixer.

For example:

Black Russians - yum
White Russians - what's the point - except for an extra 100 calories?

re: in an alcohol rut...

How about a good old-fashioned Salty Dog, with grapefruit juice and vodka--very 70s.

re: in an alcohol rut...

Y - we had a tasting at my club last night of very fine spirits that did not require any mixer.

I drink my gin straight to avoid the extra calories.
