Well, I've written before that IMO 'SexyBack' IS one of the better songs on the year. That aside, why are we all avoiding the elephant in the muthafriggin' room? That is, how did Mary J Blige pull off 8 nods...(rhetorical) b/c the answer is PRO TOOLS LOL. This audience will recall her cat-killing rendition of certain show tunes at the Tony Awards show a minute ago. I've listened to R&B all my 40+ years on this earth and still don't get the Mary J mystique, certainly after witnessing her perform live 3x now. I still haven't forgiven her for butchering classic hits by Patrice Rushen, Chaka Khan, Cheryl Lynn and Natalie Cole. Gotta admit that this message is uncharacteristically mean-spirited but 8 nods...come on! I don't know anyone over 12 who takes the recording industry in the US seriously any longer.

Jesus Christ. It's a sad asd world when a group who sing about NOTHING about how much you want to screw them but they won't let you (or WILL they? I guess "Buttons" would tend to lean towards that end) get rewarded for it. Talk about setting women back 20 years.
