Hmm... I see how it is. We invade Iraq for supposed WMD's, political oppression and ties to terrorism. North Korea has a press conference, tests a nuclear weapon and has another press conference. A country that has sold arms to Iran and starves its very on people. We do nothing.

little itty bitty ones. hell, pick a cavern and make yerself an fae and you can hit 4.5 on the richter scale, too. until we see the printouts and see if the explosions matched the seismographic signature of a nuclear explosion (which is quite distinct), i remain a skeptic.

Well, I agree with the skepticism. He's so desperate for the attention, who knows what he'd do.
The other real news that I find of interest is that Japan is now apparently close to a nuclear bomb.

Well, while here's hoping it's NEVER necessary, I'd rather someone else deal with that onus - and certainly Japan and South Korea are facing the more imminent threat from Il.

Papa--do you think George Bush WANTS North Korea to have nuclear weapons? Why else would have have given them $95 million in nuclear help in 2002? The $95 million was WITHOUT any restrictions that would prevent them from attaining status as a nuclear power.

Do you think Donald Rumsfeld WANTS North Korea to have nuclear weapons? Why else would have have sat on the board of directors of a company that six years ago sold two light water reactors to North Korea. He was a non-executive director of ABB, a European engineering giant based in Zurich, earning $190,000 a year, when it won a $200 million contract to provide the design and key components for the North Korea reactors.

Do Republicans WANT North Korea to have nukes?

$95m for two light water reactors was part of the 1994 agreed framework as negotiated by the previous administration.

they were going to get these light water reactors. maddie gave them to them. if you've got a problem with them getting these two reactors, re-read the 1994 deal.
