as far as rummy as nuclear war profiteer, that's a spurious charge as there is no nuclear war and the reactors that abb was contracted to build were part of a treaty that's been cited again and again as being the gold standard in negotiations with the nks. you don't like the light water reactors, go back to the 1994 agreement that guaranteed them to li'l kim.

That would make sense.

When I was in Europe, conversations with people on both the left and the right all came down to the same conclusion: China will eclipse the US as the dominant world power, economically and politically.

On North Korea, Condi has this to say today:

"The U.S. has no desire to do anything to escalate the situation," Rice said at a news conference with Ban. "We want to leave open the path of negotiation; we don't want the crisis to escalate." Rice added: "I did not come to South Korea, nor do I go anyplace else, to try to dictate to governments what they ought to do."

Let's see how she handles Iran, apparently it's ok to dictate to the UN about them.

"Trying to get it" that is a lie. They are trying to get a nuclear power plant. They are two very different situations. Keep that in mind while we over react to Iran's nuclear ambitions.

They are already following the terms. Enrichment is required for nuclear energy. The Republicans and Democrats of this country are going to spin this out of control. Be careful and understand the semantics used. They are saying "enrichment" now as if it exclusive to bombs. It is NOT, and it is required to generate electricity.
