now, now, taz, you know this means nothing. it's just someone he needed to pander to in order to get elected. c'mon, it's not like he means anything he says to those fools in order to get their help getting elected. he seems to see the democratic party as comprised of lenin's useful idiots.

As a member of the United Church of Christ, I feel compelled to speak to this issue. I'm not trying to get into an p****ing contest with anyone.

The UCC runs on a congregational platform, meaning that orders don't come from the top down, each congregation is AUTONOMOUS, and therefore no the power comes from the bottom up, and while one minister may say whatever he or she likes, that does not represent the denomination nor does it represent any other church in the UCC.

That having been said I've had dinner with Rev. Wright and he is nothing like he has been portrayed in the media.

On the other hand, people should look at Mrs. Clinton's ties to the Breakfast Prayer Initiative, which is one of the most conservative religious groups in the country, they run a home for children where the girls are made to cook for the boys, and that's not the worst of it.

And if *anyone* wants to call me a fat opera queen, I'll be more than glad to send them my new headshots and a video where I've lost a significant amount of weight. I hope in the future people will be kinder to a person who has gained some weight after the death of a loved one, but still continues to perform. And even if I hadn't lost the weight, I'm still proud of who I am, and my talent still continues to get me work, even if I may have more weight to lose.

Both Hillary and Barack are not really 100% in support of the gay community and neither would come out (excuse the pun) and be for gay marriage. Sadly something this could only stand to HELP him in a national race.

Gay people like myself have had to bite our tongues with leaders like Clinton for years for them to hurry up and give us equal rights or heck even try to do something for us.

Another aside, my understanding is that all the major faiths are/were homophobic (including Buddhism). Of course there are churches, synagogues that open their arms but it's certainly not true for the majority.
