Yeah, I agree with justagirl2 on Julie Andrews.
Somehow, our little book center got her to make an appearance and do a book signing. So we (my family and I) spoke with her for a few minutes about...everything, basically. Unfortunately, she wasn't doing pictures, but she was SO SWEET.
Karmine Alers is also very inspirational to me. As is Sutton Foster.
Males...umm...Joel Grey? I LOVE Joel Grey. With a passion.
Male- Hunter Foster (everyone overlooks him for sutton)
female- sherie rene scott

Stage Actors or film ones?
I'd say Tommy Steele is inspiring. Saw him last Christmas in Scrooge in London, he was 71 years old and still so lively and entertaining. Amazing.

Male: Cheyenne Jackson, because he's very kind to fans, amazingly talented & one of the few actors who I feel represents what I would aspire to do and be like. He's such a great role model in that while he was in All Shook Up, he didnt smoke or drink or party hard or do many of the things that befall other Broadway actors, for this and the reason he truly does seem like if you asked him for advice, he'd sit you down and tell you all he knew. I pick him.
Female: Marissa Jaret Winkour, she is one of the many people who broke the mold for bigger people and showed all she was in the role of Tracy in Hairspray, and is amazingly talented and is a true inspriation for the hefty Broadway fans out there.

Male: Norbert Leo Butz and Billy Hartung. My second choice is because Billy happens to be my teacher. He's been on Broadway, grew up in my hometown and has been on Broadway. Even if his biggest role on Broadway was Chuck Cranston in Footloose he's still an amazing actor and I have tons of respect for him.
Female: Sherie Rene Scott and Jennifer Laura Thompson

Christian Bale
And, of course, Meryl Streep. Brilliant.

Wow. Tough question. I'll split it between film and theatre.
FILM:
M- Robin Williams for comedy and Tom Hanks for drama (though they both excel at either) (and a little Brando and Bogart thrown in)
F- Hmm. Can't think of any inspiring actresses. Seriously.
THEATRE:
M- DEFINITELY Brian Stokes Mitchell. Hands down.
F- Sutton and recently Ashley Brown. She's a very positive role model.

Oh this is a tough one, since I just spent two weeks working with the best Canadian actors...
F: Meryl Streep, Seana McKenna(dedicated actress, wonderful person)
M: Kevin Spacey, William Hutt(an absolute master - and he's one of the kindest people I have ever met)
