James Howard did TITANIC, right? No... Yes... I dunno. I had the soundtrack for Titanic, when it first came out. On cassette, no less.

He recently did KING KONG but, like Horner, he's ridiculously blaaaannnnd! Where are this generation's Jerry Goldsmiths?

Ooooooh, Jerry Goldsmith. *chills* I also think George Fenton has done some great work.
I really can't think of anyone that I completely dislike or disrespect.

Maybe not most overrated, but I've never grasped why people go crazy over William Finn's music. It all sounds the same. And not that great.

Those who like the score of The Hours must also be shocked at the beauty of the arpeggio played at a voice lesson.
has anyone heard his Beauty and the Beast opera score, (it's more like the 1946 french film than the disney one) I think that's pretty good.
I'm TEMPTED to say John Williams, but I know I will soon be stampeded by Star Wars fans.
Now that I think about it, I know I will soon be stampeded by anything fans really, seeing as he's written just about everything.

Danny Elfman's work is very redundant.
I never thought I'd ever tire of the children's choir, but he really needs to learn some new tricks.

Yeah, john Williams may be one of the top five composers living. he's pretty amazing.
Is it just me or is the Superman theme almost exactly the same as the Star Wars theme? Just a thought, Mr Williams...
