isn't it though. I never listened to Green Day before but I loved the title song to "American Idiot" when I heard it and I said that I had to go and buy that cd and now I even put my broadway cds on hold so I can listen to it. Today I went and bought their "International Superhits" cd and I actually know a couple of the songs that I didn't know it was Green Day that sang them. GREAT BAND!!!

I hated the new Destiny's Child cd and I am a huge fan of theirs. And yes, Breakaway by Kelly Clarkson is SOOOOO good. Love it!

BroadwayGirl107 it is so funny you mentioned Aretha. I am listening to her as i am typing this post!

"At the opening night party, they had clowns on stilts, jugglers, a chocolate fountain, popcorn, hot dogs. [My son] looked at me like I had been holding back. Like, 'This is what you do?' I had to tell him, 'No, no, darling. Opening nights don't usually look like this.' It's usually a dark bar with a bottle of vodka." ?Chitty Chitty Bang Bang's Jan Maxwell plus i proudly share the title of the shortest member over the age of 10 with wickedrentq!

OMG! There is this singer called Florence Foster Jenkins and she is amazing! Seriously she is amazing! She even has some music title in the Guiness Book of World Records. I have never heard anything quite like her! Buy her cd! You won't regret it!

I second all of the praise for American Idiot. It rocks.

The new releases by Jimmy Eat World (Futures) and Rufus Wainwright (Want Two) are both well worth checking out. Beautiful music.

As for Florence Foster Jenkins... if only I were that confident! : )

My non-broadway music consists of jazz and neo-soul. Billie Holiday, Ella Fitzgerald, Duke Ellington, etc. Jill Scott, India. Arie, Lauryn Hill, Amel Larrieux, The Roots, Talib Kwali, Kanye West etc. And then of course Classic R&B. Updated On: 12/31/04 at 01:39 AM

I have been listening to Billy Talent a lot lately, and listening to old Something Corperate. And Vertical Horizon is always classic.

pretty sure kelly clarkson's breakaway and maroon 5's songs about jane are pretty awesome. also, michelle branch is always enjoyable and i always like to throw a little frank "blue eyes" in there to cover big band. there's a great cd out with just tons of his classics.

Ok, I'm going to shill for Teitur ONE more time.

He comes highly recommended by John Mayer (who I adore!) by the way.

Go here:
