i have been home sick today so i have been watching OLTL for the first time in a few years.

its testimony to Erika Slezak's talent that, after not watching for so long, i can tune in & be so immediatley caught up in her drama...she had me crying & i havent even seen the show or her character since 2005!

i was sobbing & yelling at the teevee, "PLEASE MARCY, PLEASE LET VICKI HAVE HER PILLS!!!! YOU JUST GOTTA LET VICKI HAVE HER PILLS!!!! PLEASE!!!"

I LOVED her as Vicki/Nicki! Haven't seen the show in years, though.

She was always wonderful in her scenes with Robin Strasser.

she's so awesome because everyone around is her is doing 'soap opera acting' & she's doing her serious shakespearean thing!

it doesnt matter how silly the storyline, she will invest it with dignity & play it straight as if it is true drama!

Yeah, I was home sick today and still had the channel on ABC. I woke up to see her performance. I have never regularly watched OLTL but when I do catch it, I have always been taken in by Ms. Slezak. She is not the conventional beauty that you see on the soaps yet you can't take your eyes off of her. She is an amazing actress! mom

So I'm the only regular OLTL viewer here? Viki has had her best storyline in years this fall, including a great love story with Brian Kerwin (August: Osage County). Erika Slezak is very happy with the new headwriter, and it shows in her best acting in recent memory - and she could already do the phonebook wonders!

I agree with everyone, and that's why she has more Daytime Emmys than anyone else, now I forget if it's 5 or 6? In fact, One Life probably has more Emmy winning actresses than any other show. Judith Light, Robin Strasser and Hilary B. Smith all have won as well. They probably have about 10 Emmys among them.
