Hi Shira's Chef. Welcome!
(When did Shira get a chef?)

Posted: 6/8/08 at 2:13pmHehe, Shira didn't get a chef, she got a roommate for the summer who actually enjoys cooking. And we eat similarly (we both had that "getting skinny surgery"). I'm only interning 3 days/week, so I'm the domestic goddess of Astoria as well. :-P

Yes...I'm from North Carolina, so I only had limited exposure to musicals and plays in general, but I love them. And now that I'm in the city until mid-August, I want to take advantage of the RUSH tickets or the $36 tickets TDF offers. I can only afford so much, but I'm trying!
I saw my first show, Cry-Baby, two weeks ago. I enjoyed it. :) Going to see Marriage of Bette & Boo Thursday, with Shira.

Posted: 6/8/08 at 3:17pmWelcome Shira's chef, and beware of the imminent addiction you will suffer!

Posted: 6/8/08 at 3:17pmWhy thank you! I love the warm welcome to Broadway World. :)

Posted: 6/8/08 at 5:43pmHell's no. But if you come to Queens, you can have a cheesecake bite!

I can't say I'm much of a total gourmet, but my dad's Palestinian and runs his own deli/market and makes all the arabic goodies. And my brother is a true gourmet - went to culinary school, works at a very nice French bistro in Greensboro, NC (where I'm from). So they've rubbed off on me... :)
You might could PAY for me, but Shira's proclaimed no borrowing.

Posted: 6/8/08 at 6:21pmThanks! I was sort of afraid I might get the cold shoulder on here. I'm on a few other message boards, and noobies are always made fun of at first. But I guess it helps to know someone (very awesome) on the board!

Posted: 6/8/08 at 6:27pmOK, give Shira back the $20 she gave you for posting that!

It also helps that you don't appear to be a howling idiot. No, we like you. Stick around! :)

Posted: 6/8/08 at 6:29pmUh, wha? Ahahaha, no, she's not even here right now! (Lucky her and another fancy dinner tonight.) I've been staying with her for 2 weeks now and we haven't wanted to kill each other. So, considering both of our histories with roommates, I'm a happy camper.

Posted: 6/8/08 at 7:03pmThank you...I try. But I'm also a person that doesn't mind telling me if I'm being a total ****tard idiot. So, I figure a group like this is good for me. You don't seem to mind being blunt.

I like this.
I would like you to please make note of everything that Shira does, says or even thinks, and then tell us all about it. Thank you in advance.
Oh, and welcome

Posted: 6/8/08 at 7:10pmHaha people on the BROADWAY board can be real jerks, but on student and off-topic theyre usually nice.

Posted: 6/8/08 at 7:13pmAhaha, when Shira mentioned in passing last night that I should make a Shira's Chef profile on here, she said I'd probably get requests to make sure she's eating enough, what she's doing, etc. Just keeping tabs on her in general. Which is no problem... I'm her mama for the summer, I do what I can.
