Feel better, Elphaba!
I've been in bed with a stomach bug since Monday, eating nothing but Saltines and ginger ale.

my friend had that a couple weeks ago. We were at Red Robin and she suddenly started dfeeling really sick. She cried the whole car ride home. She called me the next day and told me that it was so bad that she had to go to the emergency room and spend the night in the hospital. it was some kind of viral infection.
I'm sick today too, but not with that. it's more of a cold. My thraot's een sore for day and my nose is itchy and runny. I've had a headache and fatigue for two days. So i'm home today.

Speaking of the sickness:
"PORT EVERGLADES, Fla. -- Another cruise, another catastrophe.
Holland America's Volendam returned to Port Everglades at about 6:30 a.m. Thursday with 74 sick people on board.
According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, 68 passengers and six crewmembers became violently ill with flu-like symptoms. But shortly before noon Thursday, the cruise line issued a statement that said that the total number had escalated to 112.
Several passengers on the 10-day Panama Canal cruise complained of diarrhea. There were nearly 2,000 people on board.
In the statement released by Holland America, the cruise line said it sent notices asking passengers who exhibited gastro-intestinal symptoms to remain in their cabins.
Some passengers said they were stuck in their cabins for as many as five days.
The Broward Sheriff's Office said a 74-year-old man also died on the cruise. But, according to the cruise line, he suffered a heart attack and his cause of death was not related.
It was not clear if there was a Norovirus outbreak on board, but health officials were investigating."
Oddly enough, this is the ship we were on a month ago. Somewhere I posted a mini-review and some of my complaints were how the ship wasn't as clean as the many others we've been on in past years.

Ugh...I had this a week and a half ago. What a nightmare! Woke up at four in the morning, feeling as if the camisole I was wearing was too tight or tangled.
Let's just say my favorite pair of shoes, which were left next to the bed, are a total loss. At least the laptop was spared.
I was so weak and fighting dehydration for days. Had to abandon plans for a brief trip.
Not something I want to go through again.
