Are they even still together?
I finished the pilot. Lord. That show is going on the tivo if I can even wait until it's finished recording to watch it each week.
Of course, God help me if I just can't stand Sorkin's "cue music" moments, though. They're such good moments but I literally think to myself, "music" and it starts.

i don't think they are and i think that might have a teensy bit to do with it. hell, i'm probabaly stretchign a bit, but who cares. it's f*cking great, right?
yeah, the cue music moments are just part of the deal. i mean yer always gonna have something that a creator does that sends that one nerve in your ass ta wigglin'.

Posted: 8/3/06 at 12:48pmkind of a mixed bag to me. judd hirsch rocked his bits. brad whitford is too old for his role. matt perry better than expected, amanda about what i expected (i think she'll get better) don't buy paulson as a "brilliant sketch comic" for one minute. glad to see tim busfield. donna will be featured more extensively later. it made me ache for allison janney -- i never knew what a void she left in my heart.

The pilot is no longer on that awful, illegal website. I guess it wasn't leaked out by NBC if it really was removed for "copyright violation".
But I'm kind of angry, because I only saw Part One of five. They literally took it down WHILE I was watching. Hmph. Real fair.

Fantastic pilot. This show could be HUGE. The number of faces and names flying by on the screen was mind-blowing. This pilot must have cost a fortune to produce. I was also stunned by the blatant reference to Cheno's career. I wondered if they needed permission for that, since it is so specific.
By the way, for fans of Friends, keep your eyes out for The Class. It could very easily be the next Friends. Much funnier than How I Met Your Mother and a more interesting premise (and created by one of the writers from Friends). Jesse Tyler Ferguson (of Spelling Bee fame) is hilarious. I literally LOL'd many times throughout the pilot.

Thanks for that, Matt. My poor Tivo's about to get a workout with the start of the season. I always over-tivo and decide what I'm going to stick with after a week or two and already too many of my favorites from last season are coming back, which gives me such little time left to add new shows.

Posted: 8/9/06 at 5:28pmThough I'm interested in STUDIO 60, I feel some allegiance toward Tina Fey's take on similar material. Very cool that a woman is both writing and starring in a network show---but maybe (Lord help us) Roseanne did that too. With the two "late night sketch comedy backstage" shows, this is like that season when both ER and CHICAGO HOPE premiered.

I certainly CAN NOT wait for more of this show. I adore Bradley Whitford, Matthew Perry and loved the WEST WING creators/wroters ect... I simply fail to see how this new TV show can... fail
I only watch the LAW & ORDERS (SVU is my fave, then CI and then the original,) 24 and AMERICAN IDOL and sports on TV. I used to adore the original CSI, but... yeah... DO NOT get me started on that.
There's nothing on anymore, and my crazy work schedule prevents me from seeing much.
