Yeah we have one of those atmy school. Complete with pictures and stuff like that. However, I chose to not partake in it, b/c I couldn't find a nice enough picture in time for a the deadline.


Please don't stalk me people. Once in a lifetime is about all I can handle.

Sally...I'm not talking about you. Or anyone who has knowingly or intentionally given information to someone else. My concern is one of the reasons I insisted that you ask your mom about sending the Playbills.

I am talking about someone else with whom I never had any communication. I am talking about information that can be found by ANYONE based on the information publically posted. This occurred a couple of months ago and I PM'd one of the people involved, at the time, to take down certain information. He never really grasped the concept.

I'd like to jump in here and add that however nice it is that you had your picture taken at the stage door with some star, the real stalkers/pervs thrive on that stuff. Send them to your Granny/cousin/best friend, but for god's sake don't post them here. I know you are all proud and want bragging rights to getting a hug from Edna, but now they not only know where you live/work/attend school but what you look like. Use some common sense, people.

And might I just add that there was one young naive girl that posted about where she worked, lived posted pictures of herself on a constant basis. I told her she was being foolish and she laughed at me. She no longer posts here. Where is she? Suddenly gone, no big exit, just gone. Makes you wonder, doesn't it?

When will people realize that NO personal information should be used. Not your real first name or last name....ANYWHERE. No combination of a phone number or date of birth or address. Anywhere. No mention of where you work, live, attend school. Nothing! Kids, eliminate your profiles and as SueLeen suggested your fan photos.

And yes, Little Sally, than means don't post in what state you reside. Don't post ANYTHING personal. AND DON'T TAKE ADVICE FROM ANOTHER CHILD! One young lady here mentioned the play her school was performing this year, mentioned she lived on Long Island, uses her first name, and doesn't think a stalker could use this information to find her. Wrong. It's not too difficult to track her within minutes and find which school this kid attends. Someone could be outside the school waiting on the curb for her minutes after her post. Be very afraid...and learn from it.

I don't much care what the adults do, but I worry about the kids. Especially the ones who are grappling with issues of sexuality and are at their most vulnerable. Mr. NiceGuy comes along and wants to lend a shoulder, because he's, um, been there. Maybe it IS just a kind hearted person, but maybe not, too.

I'm getting to old for this. It disturbs me too much. Think I'll go find me a nice Brooklyn bashing thread on the Main Board and do my blood pressure a favor.
