Amazing how certain individuals used certain terms not PC but there is dead silence from the majority.

The same people who did this got people kicked off for saying the same type of thing in the past. Even though I do not agree with many of his positions, I would never used the term that was used by Liverpool. He is a great speaker & can obviously galvinize a crowd but he may be more glitz than substance. If he is the nominee, I hope more & more people will learn about his views & positions.

Oh well. Life goes on . Just thought I would have my say. Carry on gang & make sure to start flinging it my way just about now.

Roxy is talking about "Darkie."

That never was PC or even an acceptable term, and is only a slightly watered-down version of "n*," FYI.

It's a compromised racial slur at best.

He is talking about your racist and offensive use of the word "darkie" and he is expressing his desire to be able to use words just like that without ever being called a racist.

A belated Happy Martin Luther King Day to you, Mr Roxy!

You want acknowledgment that what you wrote is racist? Okay. What you wrote is racist.

And, Mr. Roxy, nobody here has the power to "get" people kicked off. People get themselves kicked off. Perhaps Liverpool will too.

I am really disappointed with Obama and Clinton for the way they are handling this primary. Both of the Clintons should be ashamed of some of their actions. Obama, on the other hand, is acting passive aggressive - he is delighting in the press making the Clinton's comments racist (when that is not their intention. He has made this contest about race, which was the only he had to get the black vote from the Clintons, and he did a good job of it. In the process both of them may tear the Democratic party in two.
Edwards should get the nomination but won't. Hillary is messing it up and Obama is not qualified.
If they are not careful (Clinton and Obama) , with their actions, could hand this election to the Republicans.

"In the process both of them may tear the Democratic party in two."

But probably not. I saw several interviews with Black female voters in SC and they indicated that in the final election, they'd be delighted if Obama were the candidate, and content if it's Hilary.

I agree with Namo. This whole "tear the party in two" is a melodramatic construction created by the kind of pundits and pollsters who will soon, I hope, disappear from the culture.

We have an embarrassment of riches on the Democratic side. They are fighting to win in this primary election, as the winner will have to do in the general election, when the Republican Wind Machine and the Swiftboaters and the 527s and the Karl Rove storm troops will be out, uglier than ever.

But the party will not be "torn in two," whether black vs. white, black vs. feminist, young vs. old--none of these much-vaunted divides will occur.

A winner will emerge, he or she will choose a running mate, and the Democrats will set about curing the evils of the past 7 years.

the democrats will tear their party apart. the republicans have completely splintered. the greens lost all credibility when they helped make dubya possible in 2000. bloomberg will in the end decide it's too expensive to jump in. gore will watch from the sidelines chuckling all the way to the bank. i think you all see where i am headed here: president lyndon larouche.

Bill Maher made the excellent point that it's nice to see the Democrats actually fighting for this, instead of being wimps. Makes you think maybe they can fight back against the republicans.

SouthFLMarc, I don't really see why you attribute what the press does and says to Obama. I don't know why the Clintons should be ashamed of their actions if Obama brought up race. I don't know what makes you think Edwards is more qualified than Obama, especially when Obama has more legislative experience than either of the other front runners. I don't know why you think a lot of things, actually.

Either way, kudos to Hillary and Obama for making this a hard won fight. Maybe Edwards needs to step up his game :P

Edwards is a nice guy, but I think he needs to step out of the race. Unless a miracle happens, I don't think it's possible for him to win. I feel like he's just taking up a few delegates here and there, that could go to Obama or Clinton.
