The right, positive message can be passed on to our nieces, female students, etc... I have seen it make a difference. Just not quite in the language she used

That's what made it all the more touching. As much as I love Pat and her ability to come on the show and have a good time, she and Alexyss have had a past. You can tell that there's still a lot of pain tied up in that past and when Alexyss spoke tonight you knew she was speaking from experience.

That was a very interesting piece... and having some more backround about her life definitely makes what she is saying more powerful to those who have experienced the same thing. Shared experiences help make more sense out of situations you find yourself in.

Posted: 7/11/07 at 11:21pmI didn't think about it while I was watching the show, but I just realized that tonight's episode was the hour-long version of the format we espoused a week ago. She opened, she greeted, she talked about her recent experiences, she talked about US (which I always love), but then it moved right into her message and gave herself ample time to talk. She gave a complete and worthwhile message and then opened it up to callers for the last past. And she had quality callers tonight. They were on their game and there were none of those ers and ums moments that lead to dead air. Tonights episode was not only fierce and truthful, it was tight. That was good television.

Dude. Just wait. Tonight's episode was incredibly profound in ways I can't describe. I don't want to go into details, but tonight made me cry in two entirely different ways. She's gonne make you cry, but she's also going to make you want to talk to her more than ever.
