well, plum, if it makes you feel any better, were i to be an individual champion, it would be to hold the world record in the 400 individual medley, the 400 freestyle, the 200 backstroke, the 200 butterfly and the 50 freestyle. of course after winning gold and setting new world records in all of those individual events (including breaking the 19 second mark in the 50) i would take part in all three relays and threaten the coach's life were he to even think about putting a sick guy on my 400 free relay team or cutting a guy from that same relay just because he's a showboat. we'd set new world marks in all three and thus would i break spitz's gold medal record and go down in history as the greatest swimmer ever. oh yeah, that would all be done at the olympics.
