I'll add to the rejection list! U. of Richmond and College of William and Mary want absolutely nothing to do with me!
But I'm trying to be positive, so I must also share that I did get into 7/9 schools I applied to.. not too bad.. now just making the decision will be impossible!

No, now's the fun part. You get to hold the colleges hostage instead of the other way around.
Not that I would know.

Very good point, Plum.
However, since I could be the most undecisive person ever, the very idea of choosing JUST ONE place to be at for the next four years makes me a little nervous...

Then now's the time to be like me and look at the bad side of everything. Find the horrible, gaping flaws in each college and eliminate them accordingly until there's one or two left. Then you can flip a coin. :)
I know this isn't college or anything, but after being accepted to the Broadway Theatre Project last year, I was waitlisted this year. DEFINITE slap in the face. But it's ok. I got into Northwestern U's program, so I really hope BTP calls so I can turn them down! :)
Keep your heads up guys!!! yall are amazing.

LOL I like that idea - I wonder if my mom will think that's the best way of going about it too.
Well, I think I have a top three though... so I guess sometime between now and May 1 I'll have it figured it out.
Or maybe I'll just let you guys put your 2 cents in and choose for me! What do you think - Fordham U., Loyola College in MD, or Ithaca College?
I say go with fordham or ithaca.

You got in last year, and were waitlisted this year? Wow, that really is a slap in the face.
I should add that if I went to Ithaca, I would be going to their communications school, if that changes anything.
yeah..i don't really care for them too much right now, but am SO incredibly excited for Northwestern's program :)

I'd probably say Ithaca. I was this close to applying there but decided against it. DAMN.
Ohh could have hung out next year! Where are you looking to, PJ?

I'm most likely attending Marymount Manhattan College.
I applied to:
Point Park [accepted]
Juniata College [accepted]
New York University [denied]
Fordham University (LC) [denied]
Marymount Manhattan [accepted]
Carnegie Mellon [haven't heard yet]

the park school (@ ithaca) has an amazing reputation. i have a friend who goes there who thinks it is AMAZING!
i have yet to hear from ithaca. i hope they don't send out rejection letters later than acceptances...
everythisisrent - i don't really want to go to AMDA because i want to have "college" experience. and i will be starting college next year when i am 16, so i think that living that independently in NYC while undertaking such a rigorous schedule might be a little much to take on all at once. plus, academics are very important to me. if i did end up going to AMDA, i would definitely take the new school option, but i'd much rather go to a university.

oopsie!! sorry bout that. i don't know how that ended up there twice
The only school that I got rejected from was NYU, which was tied for my first choice. At first, I was really bummed. Then, during my freshman year, all those people started killing themselves at NYU. And then the Olsen Twins got accepted. I realized that getting rejecting from there was definitely a good thing.
One of my friends got wait-listed at 9 schools. No rejections, no immediate acceptances. She was basically hanging in limbo until late-April, when she got into Emory.

yeah, it's the hanging in limbo with all that uncertainty that is making me crazy.
i don't know what i'll do if i don't go to college next year. i live in vermont. there's nothing TO do.
dating rejection sucks too
ugh

Sporti--You live in Vermont? That's where I go to school.
Sorry for the threadjacking.
Continued wishes for good luck to all!
I only applied to 4 schools, and luckily got accepted into all 4. Unless you would count NYU's General Studies Program as a sort of rejection. Plus they gave me really crappy financial aide ($13,000, but $4,000 in scholarships and rest in loans). I really love NYC, but truthfully, I really don't know a lot about the school, except that it is an extrememly good one. I might go to BU, which I believe would have a better rep in the communications dept. See my BU post.
Rejection letters do suck, though.
