But my sister sent me a link to someone's earlier and I nearly fell off my chair laughing when I realized it was this kid that had lived up the street from us when we were little. Now he's in college and gay. Now I'm so tempted to check it out just for the purpose of stalking people from my past

That's pretty much why I joined myspace. Since you can search by school and graduation year I've been able to hunt down former classmates and see what they're up to. I also discovered an old childhood friend had come out (and by the looks of his myspace is VERY out) through myspace.
