Forgive me if I've missed postings on this. A "search" didn't reveal any.
Has anyone here seen it yet and what did you think of it?

Seeing this in 2 weeks. I saw the most recent Broadway revival and that was my first time seeing and hearing the show live.
Excited to see how it compares to an all female cast

I’m seeing it Sunday. It will be my first time at Paper Mill. I also saw the production at Ford’s Theatre last weekend. I’m on a bit of a 1776 kick right now.

compared to the most recent broadway production
you will be treated to a version where the director doesnt have complete animus towards the original material
it is tuneful and thoughtful
qualities which seem to have escaped most modern musicals

Went to the Sunday matinee, it’s a delightful show, even though it’s almost 3 hours long, but it didn’t feel long. Also very happy to see a full size pit orchestra, full, lush sound and wow, a bassoon book. Planning on returning to see it again before it closes in May.
