So, I [edit: not myself (CapnHook), but a friend] contacted VAI...

Their reply: "The producer is talking to the relevant unions. So, cross your fingers."

While NBC sits on the 1960 videotaped production of PETER PAN and fairy dust fills the empty shelves, here is news abrewing about the two other kinescopes of the 1955 and 1956 live productions.

VAI, which recently released the condensed FORD 50th ANNIVERSARY SHOW featuring performances by Ethel Merman and Mary Martin including their history-making duet, is investigating releasing these two alternate live-on-film performances of Mary Martin in PETER PAN.

One would hope that NBC would work with VAI (or anyone) to included ALL these performances in ONE deluxe boxed set commemorating the 50th Anniversary of that first historic television broadcast.
