1966 Lincoln Center Cast?

Can some one enlightened me as to why so many recordings are listed as '1966 Lincoln Center Cast' when they were recorded much later?

I believe "The Metropolitan Opera House" at lincoln center opened in 1966, but why wouldn't they designate it as "MOH cast"?

Or is this some type of listing snafu on amazon and ebay and half.com?

Those Music Theater of Lincoln Center productions played at the State Theatre, which opened in 1964, not the MET.

Begin at the beginning and go on till you come to the end: then stop.

Okay, but why the 1966 designation on everything?
