So, I was looking at the IBDB page for the 1995 Revival of Company...and it doesn't list an understudy for Debra Monk...how is this possible?

She definitely had an understudy, because she was out at the performance I attended. I can't remember who it was, though--must not have made an impression.

That makes me feel better...I was wondering if Roundabout would be *that* cheap.
Kate Burton's understudy is also unlisted...so assumedly, someone covered them (and probably both women, since it's missing.)
I just looked it up in my cast recording booklet of the show, and they do not list understudies for Kate Burton, or Debra Monk.
If someone has a Playbill from the show kicking around, that would probably be the best bet.
Is it possible the understudy chose not to be listed? I seem to remember another thread saying that sometimes understudies don't want to be listed in the Playbill, so when they go on there's the full page insert with their bio and headshot.

it's possible. That would suck though.
Munk and Burton had the same understudy,
she was tall and her name is on the tip of my tongue.
It will come to me.

I think it was the same person who was Boyd Gaines' understudy. But he was already going on for Boyd so much when they discovered that Boyd couldn't sing the role that the others were forced to do the show because there was no understudy.
lol Jim Clow. He played Bobby at more performances than Boyd Gaines.

"He played Bobby at more performances than Boyd Gaines."
Interestingly enough, Boyd got well enough and showed up when the performance was taped for NYPL Lincoln Center Archives. I know because I was there. And he cracked on the note at the end of Barcelona when he sang "Oh God".
