I adore both shows with al my heart, but I would choose PHANTOM.
Because you always want to "REMEMBER YOUR FIRST TIME."
ok this thread is really old and the person who asked the question nearly two months ago has probably already seen the show.

When is your trip? If it's in the summer, take a bus to the Paper Mill Playhouse and go see "Hello, Dolly!" instead!
If I were you, I'd skip your trip. (Haha, that rhymes)
Both shows are awful.
Let's hope he chose not to go.

Spamalot, when i went with choir to see wicked a friend i was tlaking to said that she thought that it wouldve been boring because the tickets cost so much. It doesnt make any sense to me but if you were to get people who think theatre is boring see Spamalot. You'll also have fun and be laughing when you get back
P.S. My first show was Joseph
Spamalot's fun, but I don't think it would make a great first show, especailly because it parodies so many others! I like the music better, but I DID enjoy Phantom. That's got my vote.
