I'm glad this finally came to fruition. It's a great initiative.

A great idea, but why do I have a bad feeling that some folks will try to buy those $10 tickets off the high schoolers to see the show? Of course, they will have to pass as a high schooler. I assume the students will have to have a school ID.

Its a good cause, sure, but i'd rather not have to deal with 100s of kids who will probably be disruptive. Just speaking my mind. I don't care if you disagree with me, just saying.

I saw "Something Rotten" when there was a large contingent of high school (apparently drama or theater) kids. They were so fun, they got all the musical references and Shakespeare jokes (many of which went over my head). However, I wonder how the high schoolers will fare during Act 2, which is a little long (in my opinion). Either way, it would be fun to be in their audience. Too bad I don't pass as a high school student.

I doubt any of the kids will have tickets in their hands until they enter the theater.

I've seen a lot of bad theater behavior, and with one exception it was a result of adults. (I did have one experience with badly behaved teens but when I gave them a little lecture they stopped.) If they're given a primer on theater etiquette before the show I wouldn't underestimate them. I'd see a show with teenagers who will likely be excited and enthralled over adults who can't give up the outside world enough to put their phones away for 3 hours any day.
