Anyone know if this is the real rush policy? I saw it on the list on BWW. TLK doesn't usually do rush. Is this something new or a mis-print?

Who knows...

It could be real. I do believe that they offered student rush for The Lion King October 2008 just for that month. So it's not true to say that it never has happened in the past.
Question is is that if they are offering it, is it for a limited time like before?
Also, do keep in mind that the Broadwayworld rush information page was updated as of today. Playbill.com's rush information page is not the most up to date as it could be.
Maybe its just a slow time.
but those front row seats are a drag because the stage for Lion King is quite high.
Has anyone tried this to see if it's true? I've never seen the show and would love to check it off of my list.

I went this past weekend and asked at the box office, and they said there is no rush.

Is the stage as high on Broadway as it is on tour? I know the tour's deck is about 15" high due to the automation and not using a trap room. If it's the same on Broadway I would definitely say avoid front row, even if it is only $20 (which it seems to not be anyway). The Lion King is one of those shows that I prefer to be further back and higher up in order to really be able to take it all in.
For those that know the show, and those that care...
I sat 3rd row and I am average height. I could not see the stage(floor) at all even when the part in the middle is raised. You can't see the groundrow at the back (the jagged thing that changes colour) and you cant see feet & shoes.
Although, the fact that you are so close and can see the intricacies of the costumes makes up for it.
Personally If i ever get to go back, I think I will go for a seat in the Mez because I love to see the stage and the traps working when I see a show.
