"These stops are generally longer than the non-eq dates. They were staying in places for a day or two."
so, is it safe to say that this tour is switching back to a an all equity cast?

Posted: 4/15/08 at 9:21pmI would think so. Unless Anthony and Adam are pulling more of a Ted Neeley than they already are.

Wow, typical of my life! It is coming to Minneapolis a week BEFORE I go home over Easter break. I do live in Milwaukee for college though, and it is going to be in Chicago, so maybe I can go there for a Matinee the weekend they are in town there. Ugh! Stupid money and time. Put a damper on everything!
Sorry for the rant, but is it not unbelievable how close I come to being in Minneapolis at the same time as a show I like?

Posted: 4/15/08 at 11:02pmSince they've been auditioning previous castmembers who are Equity members, I think it's safe to say that the tour will be all Equity.

bummer, they're ending in Tokyo!
just a little more south of Asia and they would already be in my country, there's a pretty big fan base here too. I hope they can tour more of Asia if they want to give a chance to those who won't get to see it on Broadway.
So can we get tickets this early? I've never really been to Broadway so what's this rush/lotto ticket thing? :*)

Posted: 4/16/08 at 12:57pmThey had a tour of Rent in Asia, as others have said, and some countries have even put on their own productions.

Posted: 12/31/09 at 6:15pmHey everyone. I know I am very late on this but I have just discovered my love for RENT. I got the final performance DVD for Christmas and I loved it so much. I never had the chance (or interest) to see it live. And now that it's gone, I regret it. And since the tour is almost over, I regret it even more. I know this is very unlikely, but has anyone heard any news about another RENT tour in the future? Or an extension of the tour?

Once this tour wraps up and I bet the shutter for a few months to relaunch the tour as non-equity again.
Though I'm wondering if it isn't going to be a harder sell now. So many regional theaters are doing the show that the demand for a touring production has probably diminished.

rmusic11322, if you are in NY, the Westchester Broadway Theatre in Elmsford has Rent Scheduled to open August 5th. It is a dinner theater and not a bad place to see a show. It is about 20 minutes north of the city. The show may be modified a bit from the original production because of the way the stage is, (seating on 3 sides), but I am sure the music will all be the same. There will be more info about the show closer to the opening date.

Well, your loss. Such is life. Move on. See something current.
