Now that the new season has begun, what would you like to see happen on Broadway? Please share your thoughts.
Predictions - Million Dollar Quartet will be the first to close in this new season from last season. And Spider Man will actually be nice.
Hopes - To see each new musical before the Tony Awards.
Wishes - Catch Me If You Can makes it to New York with success.
The Scottsboro Boys better do well next year after this ****fest.

From what I've heard, Catch Me If You Can was eying a certian theatre which currently holds a Tony nominated musical... and lets just say those plans may still be in motion for a Spring opening...
Also, I want Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson on Broadway NOW!!!

st james theater perhaps?
Having seen The Scottsboro Boys off-Broadway and Catch Me If You Can in Seattle, might I be snotty enough to suggest my hope that there are new musicals to arrive next season that are much better than each? Both were certainly better than Memphis but not actually, y'know...good. Yank and Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson I could get behind.

the public theatre always has challenging productions so bbaj would be nice but we need more .
Here's to hoping people who actually WRITE good music come back to Broadway.
My wish: Frank Wildhorn starts the trek for his next trifecta

I'll drink to that.
PLEASE let it be a better season than this past one.
That is my wish.
We are certainly getting off on the right foot with the masterful SCOTTSBORO BOYS. Too bad it almost definitely won't last until Tony time.
Predictions for awards are a little silly at this point, but the hopes/wishes part of this thread could be fun.
Overall, for a more exciting and diverse season. My biggest wishes, specifically: for the Angels in America revival to be everything it should be, for Leap of Faith to finally happen, for Raul to get his Tony, for another group of glorious revivals, and for something to completely surprise me and sweep me off my feet. I need that again.

Be better then this year. Hedwig, Sister Act, Priscilla, Love Never Dies, & Catch Me will more than make up for this horrible year.
Oh! That's my biggest wish! That SISTER ACT is tons of fun! And is actually a good and well-constructed show too. That would help.

i hope a musical no one knows about comes in from out of nowhere and blows everyone away.
On paper this coming season looks very promising. Let's just hope all these shows actually happen. I'm hoping for the MERRILY revival and for it to be incredible as well.
WOMEN ON THE VERGE OF A NERVOUS BREAKDOWN, anyone?!
oh yes, and hopefully it comes with a Patti Melt Down. (A Patti-Melt!)

That Jan Maxwell will be nominated for 3 tony awards and win all of them. But seriously I am very excited about next season. The Scottsboro Boys is very intriguing as is Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson. In order of Scottsboro Boys to survive they are going to have to really make "The Final Musical of Kander and Ebb" their main selling point. Also I saw Catch Me If You Can in Seattle and thought it was fantastic. It isn't perfect but it's problems are extremely minor and can be easily fixed. Look for it to be the major hit of the year. Sister Act looks wonderful and I hope Patina gets to open it here. And while it is a juke box musical the Ray Charles' musical Unchain my Heart sounds really interesting. It is a shame that Brandon Victor Dixon won't be in Scottsboro Boys but this sounds like a potentially star making role. I am also incredibly happy for Bobby Steggert and Yank. He really is having an excellent year. Add the haunting Love Never Dies and the already controversial Spiderman: Turn of the Dark and you have quite a jam packed season. The season always looks good on paper at the beginning but this year is especially exciting. I hope all of these shows actually make it to broadway this year. Also I was wondering if anyone had any information on Minsky's cause it would be wonderful to see that open up with Chris Fitgerald and Beth Leavel.
Anyone know of what theatre Sister Act is looking at?
Careful about making predictions. Wayman will print them out and archive them, then remind you of them in a year.

Has anyone heard ANYTHING about "Spider Man: Turn Off The Dark?" I heard that they're going to use a Teenage Geek Chorus.

With the news of Bloody going into the Jacobs (since I'm guessing the Kerr has been booked w/ Bernie and Elaine til god knows when), and Sister Act being rumored for the Hirschfeld, and Priscilla being rumored for the Marquis, and Catch Me If You Can being rumored for a certain theatre... (Hint: not A.I., if anything I'm hearing the producers will transfer the show rather than close it... could be a good idea)... yeah, i'm liking next year... alot
Also, anyone think Promises could be finished by september when chenoweth leaves?
