The shortlist for Brandon Jacob-Jenkins seems like an attempt to make up for the snub of Octoroon.

"...everyone finally shut up, and the audience could enjoy the beginning of the Anatevka Pogram in peace."

Before this list came out I was already hoping for The Humans. I am actually attending a talk with Frank Rich and the cast of The Humans this evening. Wonder if it will be memtioned?

Every cloud has a silver lining --- or so we're told. In this case, at least The Humans didn't win it. And what about that unforgettable masterwork, John? Forgotten so soon? Ah, well. Sic transit gloria mundi, I guess.
