Very clever. I wonder if they'll be advertising for people to come over to their lotto after the Wicked one ends.
YES!
I had hoped that Spelling Bee would have a lotto!

I'm not a fan of the lotto system at all - but I'm glad they're offering cheap tickets.
Why not, munk? It's much better than the old "line" system.

I knew about the lottery but I wondered if when they were going to do it so that it doesn't conflict with Wicked. This sounds good
Someone at the box office told me that they're going to have lotto 30 minutes AFTER Wicked's. Genius move, huh?
No, because the WICKED people will just wait around and make it equally impossibly to win the BEE lotto.
And I don't think it's better than the "line" system because if you want to see a show bad enough, you get your ass out of bed and get there at 6 AM. I wanted to see Antonio's last performance in NINE, so I woke up at 4 AM and waited on line until noon - I got my ticket. If you want to see a show bad enough, just f*cking wake up and wait on line. The lotto system with some popular shows it utterly impossible.

Great. That will add an extra 200 or so people in the Gershwin/Circle in the Square alley.

VERY smart move...
The bottom line is: It's good for business. They don't care if the "most deserving" people win or not. They get the money, and they don't have people lined up at all hours of the morning, getting them in trouble with the cops.
I know THEY don't care, I'm talking about my point of view, not theirs.

Very, very cool. And quite smart on their part. I just wish I didn't have sh*t luck when it came to a lottery drawing!

Bull****, munk. For some of us, it's not a matter of wanting it badly; it's simply a matter of when we can get into the city. I physically can't get into NYC before 9 am or so. It's not possible. And you're telling me that I'm screwed for tickets because I don't want it enough? Why the hell should locals and tourists in hotels have the advantage?
Did anyone else notice that BOTH Wicked and Spelling Bee are produced by David Stone? He probably will have the same guy running both lotteries.
sweet! i'm really looking forward to seeing it.
that is awesome! you will see me there until i win!
