What in the world would anybody do with nearly three and a half tons of soap bubbles?!?!?! Is there a black market for this stuff?
NEW YORK (AP) — The bubble might have burst for off-Broadway's "Gazillion Bubbles Show." Someone has stolen the show's specialized soapy bubble solution, which takes two months to make.
A show spokesman says 3.4 tons of bubble solution and 6,000 toys went missing in the June 10 break-in at a Hoboken, N.J., warehouse.
The show has only six weeks worth of solution on hand to make the air-filled globes of soapy film...

Posted: 7/24/08 at 12:05pmThat really annoys me. This is such a wonderful show for children and families, and it's one of the few shows that is having a healthy life at New World Stages. I hope they don't have to close because of this.

THIS IS TRAGIC!
I mean this in all seriousness, "Gazillion Bubble Show" is fantastic! If you haven't seen it yet, do it! It's not only an excellent treat for families of 1-9 year olds (and that's rare in Midtown)... but no lies, it is a FANTASTIC SHOW for adults.
I don't know what it is that's so fascinating about bubbles, but paired with music and a killer laser light show, it's soooo much fun!
If this show has to shutter because of stolen solution, that's just utterly upsetting!
IF YOU CAN, GO SEE THIS SHOW NOW!!!
