Dude, listen to that sentence: "Besides Little Mermaid and Young Frankenstein" If that's what they're gonna be pumping out, then I don't want to know what's next!
"But I can tell you that Raoul, who was so handsome in "The Phantom," is now a drunken wreck."
Well think of it this way. Nathan Lane in the Mamet play has to go somewhere, so does the actor from Deadwood whose name escapes me in the revival of Pinter's Homecoming. In the Heights is probably jockeying for one of the vacancies as well.
Other things to consider:
Music Box will also be open in September with no replacement. The Lyceum open in August. Also, considering the prized nature of the St. James, I'm sure negotiations are already beginning for its fate post-Grinch.
I was JUST thinking about this as well...so many shows closing...is ANYTHNG staying open? I don't ever remember so many shows closing around the same time...
Young Frankenstein - Hilton Little Mermaid - Lunt-Fontanne David Mamet's November - a Shubert house Tom Stoppard's Rock n Roll - Jacobs Billy Elliot - Imperial (in Fall '0 Guys and Dolls - St. James Catered Affair - Kerr Homecoming - one of the Roundabout houses Sunday in the Park with George - Studio 54
Guys & Dolls at the St. James??? It would be better off playing a smaller theater. I don't think too many people would be flocking to see Guys & Dolls anyway unless some big names are vast.
A Chorus Line revival played its final Broadway performance on August 17, 2008. The tour played its final performance on August 21, 2011. A new non-equity tour started in October 2012 played its final performance on March 23, 2013. Another non-equity tour launched on January 20, 2018. The tour ended its US run in Kansas City and then toured throughout Japan August & September 2018.

ACL are you kidding. Even if there aren't big names in Guys and Dolls, it's such a tourist show that tons of people will come to see it. I don't know if it can fill the St. James, but I don't think it's going to be hurting for business unless it absolutely sucks.
Munk - wouldn't Jason Robert Brown's 13 be on the list of "dates to come/in development/rumored". I thought that it was on a projected spring 2008 opening.
I forgot about Cymbline coming to the Vivian Beaumount too....
