You know, a lot of people who said "hair" mentioned it as being revived updated. I think if they did revive it it should be left the way it is (perhaps cleaned up a bit but still left in the 60s etc.) I think that has a greater impact because people can see the relevence to today on their own. That and I'm a sucker for anything hippie.

And it may be a bit soon (obviously) but next to normal!

Carnival - NOT using the awful Jim Henson puppets.

Redhead - won a Tony for best musical but never revived

Flahooley

Busker Alley - wouldn't be a revival, but finally get to Broadway

Chess- definitely on the top of my list
A Little Night Music
Grand Hotel- with Tommy Tune directing again
On The Twentieh Century
Pacific Overtures- I know this was done a couple of years back, but i didn't care for that version

CHESS def. should have been on my list! I forgot how much I love that score! The production in London ran much longer than the broadway production; perhaps doing a more similar production?? It's such an incredible score!!

I'd also love to see revivals of: DuBarry Was a Lady, Out Of This World & Jubilee (Cole Porter); I Married An Angel, Jumbo & Babes In Arms (Rodgers & Hart); My One And Only (Gershwins); and I'd be curious to see old-timey operettas, such as The New Moon.

I love CAMELOT, too!! Brian Stokes Mitchell would make an excellent King Arthur; Audra McDonald would be a fascinating Quinevere!! (:

ANYONE CAN WHISTLE- Streep or Donna Murphy as Hoover, Krakowski as Apple, Neil Patrick Harris as Hapgood.
MACK & MABEL- Krakowski reprising her role as Mabel Normand.
FOLLIES- Don't mess with the Murphy/Clark pairing, bring Casey Nicholaw or Tommy Tune as directors.

Aw nuts, ray, I wanted to introduce Anyone Can Whistle! Good choice though!

1. Anyone Can Whistle, starring Meryl absolutely!
2. Dreamgirls
3. Carousel
4. Carrie (I love the idea of Linzi as Mrs White in a few years time)
5. The Baker's Wife

THE BOYS FROM SYRACUSE.

I love This Cant be Love, Sing for Your Supper, Dear Old Syracuse, Falling In Love with love & The Shortest Day of the Year..

Soo many great songs... just a classic Rodgers & Hart! I did a production of this in College and love everyminute of it!

I don't know about revivals, but I would love to see Encores! take on:

1.) THE GOLDEN APPLE

2.) GRIND (with a new book?)

3.) COLETTE

4.) ON THE TWENTIETH CENTURY

5.) PAINT YOUR WAGON (the new book supposedly works!)

1. Cats (Yes, I am in love with this. LOL!)
2. Dreamgirls
3. Into the Woods (I've listened to the soundtrack and love it.)
4. Once Upon a Mattress
