Iain is the son of actor Euan Morton and his wife producer Lee Armitage, so he has theater in his blood.
I don't think his parents script him. I don't think they have to. They simply encourage him.
My two nephews were similarly sage-like on certain subjects when they were his age. It's more that they hear adults talk and imitate the seriousness, but somehow when they reach for ideas in their heads, what comes out is completely sincere and surprisingly articulate.

Even if he doesn't understand EVERYTHING in the show he's seeing (but who does really?), that doesn't negate what he got out of it. I remember watching tons of movies around his age that I didn't get, but remembering how much I liked/loved them because I did get something out of them.

Oh, I hear that. I used to be the proud owner of a VHS copy of Quest for Camelot.

You're assuming. You do not know, for a fact, if he is or isn't being coached/scripted. Zip it, fool.

PJ, that is the cutest review I've seen by Iain. So glad he's Euan's son, too!
He doesn't look coached by his parents in the least. He's just an incredibly bright and personable young man. Even if he were, he would have had to memorize an awful lot. And even if he were, guess what? I don't give a rat's tuches.

Oh, shut up, as Shakespeare said, you starveling, you eel-skin, you dried neat’s-tongue, you bull’s-pizzle, you stock-fish, you tailor’s-yard, you sheath, you bow-case, you vile standing tuck!

Thanks for that one PJ---I will now zipp it with my Ian thoughts after watching that. For him to memorise, let alone SING all those very difficult phrasings, he is one bright kid. Hope I'm around to see adult Ian.

That was the sweetest thing I've ever seen and heard in a long while. OMG. Such an adorable, sweet, bright, talented, happy boy.

I'm glad Euan Morton let his son hang out with Michael Riedel after he gleefully tried to undermine and destroy Taboo more than ten years ago.
